Sponsoring businesses have the free Northeast Mpls Calendars available for pickup. See Sponsors.
For several years, the Northeast Community Development Corporation (NECDC) has coordinated the Northeast Mpls Calendar, soliciting images that represent the 14 Northeast neighborhoods (13 residential plus Mid-City Industrial). This year we added a request for images representing Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.
Thanks to Northeast Bank generously contributing to the prize purse. We received competitive submissions from returning and new artists and were able to commission two artists well-respected in community, newcomers to the calendar. They illustrated the St. Anthony East and Audubon Park neighborhoods. We are pleased to celebrate the neighborhoods and artists through these images, and were amazed at how many of the neighborhood descriptions needed updating due to new art and development even since last year.
We again chose an environmentally-friendly matte finish paper stock. Bolger, a local arts-friendly printing company keeps your sponsors’ money in the community and saves the environmental cost of shipping.
Thanks also to East Side Neighborhood Services and their Menlo Park High School students and transportation staff for delivering the calendars to the sponsors.
While we may tweak the competition guidelines next year, if you’re interested in reviewing the 2020 submission instructions for basic guidelines, they are here.
2019 sponsors simply gets renamed to 2020 sponsors and subtract/add as noted in my previous email.
All the rest of the site looks okay. I wonder if we should disable the “sign up for e-newsletters” link on the contact page. Or to convert it to a pitch to get updates from the arts district.
